Who We Are
Bimbia Rural Development Association - BIRUDA is a legal and registered nonprofit organization in Limbe, Southwest Region of Cameroon. Established in March 2014 and approved by the government with a registration No. 131/G.37/D14/VOLII/SAAJP, the board and management staffs are working endlessly to solve the toughest social, economic, and environmental challenge facing rural areas in Cameroon.
Informed by more than 14 years of experience and deep local knowledge, we work with local and international partners to improve lives and livelihoods, protect forests, marine environments and expand opportunities.In doing so, our board, management body, partners and team of experts around the world work together on projects and programmes offering positive impact in rural societies.
Our Mission & Expertise
BIRUDA seek to improve the quality of life, protect the cultural heritage of rural people in Cameroon, by designing, managing and monitoring development projects. As an experienced leader in delivering cost-effective programs, we work with action groups, stakeholders, change makers to solve the most dynamic and complex settings.
Our programs and Activities improve local governance and economies, water and sanitation conditions, forest and environmental sustainability, upskill local workers, fight against pollution, promote peace and stability, counter crime against humanity, and strengthen resource management.
Our long-term presence, trusted relationships, networks, knowledge, and focus on locally led and owned solutions are what set us apart.
How we work
To achieve our goal, BIRUDA work with action groups, community leaders, government, bilateral and multilateral development agencies, foundations, corporations, and individuals to design and implement tailore, innovative, and adaptable programs that strive for a fair, democratic and tolerant world.

We are renowned for our efforts in improving the quality of life in rural areas.
